Welcome to our Preschool
The North Rocks Community Church Preschool has offered families a supportive and creative learning environment for over 45 years. The Preschool aims to nurture and provide quality care and learning opportunities for children within the Christian tradition.
We
are a non-profit organisation formed and operated by parents, church members
and experienced staff. Our exciting and creative curriculum is child-directed,
hands-on, developmentally challenging and fun. We aim to provide individualised
attention, a safe environment, and many opportunities for creative expression.
The Pre-School has a unique bushland setting safely tucked away behind the church. Our preschool is licensed and approved by the Department of Community Services and the staff are all well qualified, experienced and dedicated with the current director having over 30 years service in Early Childhood Education.
The pre-school operates from 8.30am - 3.30pm and caters for up to 24 children daily between the ages of 3 and 5 years.
Our Goals:
Our
goals are to provide an environment that encourages:
- children to develop their capabilities and interests in a wide range of activities at their own pace and according to their individual needs and abilities
- the development of the “whole” child across all developmental areas such as social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative
- all children to develop a healthy self concept and positive self esteem
- the development of independence and self reliance as they make their way towards school.
