The North Rocks Uniting Preschool has offered families a supportive and creative learning environment for over 45 years. The Preschool aims to nurture and provide quality care and learning opportunities for children within the Christian tradition.
We are a non-profit organisation formed and operated by parents, church members and experienced staff. Our exciting and creative curriculum is child-directed, hands-on, developmentally challenging and fun. We aim to provide individualised attention, a safe environment, and many opportunities for creative expression.
The Pre-School has a unique bushland setting safely tucked away behind the church. Our preschool is licensed and approved by the DEC - Department of Education and Communities and the staff are all well qualified, experienced and dedicated.
The pre-school operates from 8.00am - 3.30pm and caters for up to 20 children daily between the ages of 3 and 5 years
Our Preschool has been assessed by the NSW Department of Education & Communities against the National Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care and School Age Care, and the overall ratings are: Exceeding National Quality Standard
The Preschool is sponsored by the North Rocks Community (Uniting) Church and is a part of UNITING Early Learning (UEL). A local Management Committee is composed of Church and preschool representatives and is responsible for the overall management of the Preschool.
Our goals are to provide an environment that encourages:
- Children to develop their capabilities and interests in a wide range of activities at their own pace and according to their individual needs and abilities
- The development of the “whole” child across all developmental areas such as social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative
- All children to develop a healthy self concept and positive self esteem
- The development of independence and self reliance as they make their way towards school
