BUGZ is a group for children in preschool and stage 1 (K-2). BUGZ stands for Building Up God’s Zone and that sums up what we are about. We aim to build up kids in their self worth and interaction with other kids. BUGZ is also a “God’s Zone”. Using games, stories, craft, songs, videos and more we will learn about God.
Last term we trialled a new idea for BUGZ where we crammed a whole term of fun into four weeks of BUGZ. It worked really well and this term our four week block starts on the 11th May. We will be looking at God’s great creation and learning how we can look after it and how God can help us grow.

The theme for this term has an environmental focus but from the perspective of acknowledging the wonder of God’s creation and God’s desire for us to care for it. The input will include the Bible stories such as the story of creation as well as some of Jesus teaching such as the parable of the sower and the image of God the Gardener from John chapter 15. The story of the three trees is a beautiful story which links different elements of the life of Jesus.
