Last year we heard God calling us to grow - as individuals in our understanding and relationship with Jesus and to grow as a church community. We had some great goals and creative ideas but tragically we found ourselves on a different road - one of grief and full of questions. Our Vision hoped that we would grow in 2011. Yes, we grew but not in the way we had planned.
This year, after discussion with Church Council and the ministry team, I feel God is wanting us to stick with the Vision focus from last year - to continue to help the church grow. In this Vision I have suggested four key ideas which may be helpful in not only stimulating growth but also in encouraging fruit in our lives and in our church. It is my prayer that through embracing community, encouraging participation, igniting passion and submitting in prayer we may see God bring this Vision a reality.
